Aster Data signs deal with Full Tilt

Aster Data, one of the leading providers of data analytics and management platform for 'Big Data' applications announced it signed a deal with Full Tilt Poker to provide software to power Full Tilt's virtual online pokerroom. Full Tilt Poker, the online home of several of the most renowned poker pros in the world, will use Aster nCluster software to provide better customer service to players, protection from fraud, managing their increasing data volumes, and lowering data management and processing infrastructure costs.

Due to the impressive success of Full Tilt Poker, the mother company, Pocket Kings, run out of data management capacity, which resulted in longer anti-fraud analysis, which in turn made some players upset.

"Aster nCluster and In-Database MapReduce give Pocket Kings the ability to do something that was not possible before - run more sophisticated fraud algorithms, and run them significantly faster against ever-increasing data volumes," said Mayank Bawa, CEO of Aster Data.
